Prescription Renewal and Proxy Services

Handle your prescriptions easily and conveniently at Kluuvi Pharmacy. We can renew your prescription on your behalf or assist with pharmacy matters when you don't have time to come in person.

Our service saves you time and makes handling pharmaceutical matters smooth. Our responsible staff ensures that prescriptions are up to date and that you receive the medicines you need quickly and safely, without unnecessary waiting.

 

We Also Accept Medication Waste

The pharmacy accepts expired and unused household medications free of charge. All medication waste returned to the pharmacy is forwarded for hazardous waste treatment.

The pharmacist is responsible for the quality of medicines in the pharmacy. If medicines have been in the customer's possession, they can no longer be resold. For this reason, unused medicines are not refunded to the customer. This practice is based on pharmaceutical legislation and guidelines provided by authorities to pharmacies.

Our pharmacy has a separate collection point for medication waste.

We ask you to note the following when returning expired and unused medicines:

  • Remove markings containing patient information from medicine packages (such as instruction labels).
  • Preferably bring medicines to the pharmacy in a clear, sealed plastic bag.
  • You can remove tablets and capsules from their original packages. Tablets and capsules in blister packs do not need to be removed from their packaging. Empty glass jars can be taken to glass recycling and empty plastic jars to waste disposal.
  • Liquid substances preferably in their original packaging in a separate plastic bag.
  • Always return iodine tablets and other medicines containing iodine in a separate clear plastic bag in their original packaging. Iodine-containing preparations include, for example, Jodix tablets and Betadine and Iodosorb preparations.
  • Return mercury-containing thermometers separately from medication waste. Close damaged mercury thermometers, for example, in a sealed glass jar.
  • Return syringes and needles separately from medication waste. Pack them in a puncture-resistant container for safety reasons, such as an empty plastic bottle or glass jar.
  • The pharmacy accepts only medication waste and mercury-containing thermometers, as well as syringes and needles. The pharmacy does not accept other waste (for example, chemicals, hairspray bottles, battery-operated thermometers or other electrical equipment, batteries, etc.).
